Meet the Team
Lossiemouth Skatepark Initiative was formed in 2014, and all of the committee members are volunteers. Each person involved has their own range of skills and passions, and brings a unique strength to the committee. We have a number of adult supporters who are on the committee at intervals, and a host of youngsters who have committed time and enthusiasm to LSI throughout our journey too, and even those that have moved away to university are proactively supportive. Scroll down to find out more about LSI's core committee members. Although we are a small group, we are mighty!
Donald Peace
Donald has lived in Moray since he was 4 years old, spending the majority of his life in Lossie. He has been skateboarding continually since the age of 14, and surfing since he was 21. He can regularly be seen surfing, running surf lessons, or skateboarding around Lossie. Donald helped to create the Lossiemouth Skatepark Initiative back in 2014, and is the Chairman of the committee. Donald attends community meetings on the Initiative's behalf, helps out at events, signs all the important paperwork, and has only passed wind in a committee meeting once (at least that is all he will admit to!).

Sarah Tompkins Le
Sarah moved to Lossie in 2012. She has come to love the town and it's beaches, and can regularly be seen surfing, skateboarding, and running after her kids who like to scoot off at incredible speeds ahead of her. Sarah has been a core member of Lossiemouth Skatepark Initiative since 2016, when she first found her love of skateboarding. Sarah is the Treasurer for the group, a volunteer at events, and contributes to much of the visual artistry for events and promotions.

Kerry Peace
Kerry has lived in Lossie since 2010. After years of pestering from her kids, Kerry finally took the leap to try skateboardng. She is now in love with her very own Carver skateboard, and they like to roll in the park together. Kerry has been on the Lossiemouth Skatepark Initiative committee since 2015, and helps to organise events and promotions, volunteers at events, and runs the website, facebook and instagram pages.

John Maclean
John has been on the skate scene locally since he was a teenager, and is well known for ripping it up at any skatepark he graces. He has been on the LSI committee since 2015, and has been the muscle when moving ramps for the the pop up days, the brains behind design features, and just gets cracking with whatever needs doing. He also makes innocent design drawings seem rude.

Josh Tompkins
Josh joined Lossiemouth Skatepark Initiative in 2016. Skateboarding since he was a teenager, and surfing for nearly as long, Josh is an avid member of the committee. He is regularly seen checking the waves, driving around with tree surgery machines in a trailer, and skateboarding down hills. Whether in meetings or at events, Josh is a practical man, and there is no hurdle LSI have hit that he couldn't find a solution for. #mrpractical

Magnus Malcolm
Magnus has been a member of Lossiemouth Skatepark Initiative since 2016. He started skateboarding as a teenager in the late 80's, and is now a keen surfer and longboard skater. Magnus is the Secretary of LSI, helps out at events, and keeps everyone on the committee in check. We can't go wrong with Magnus on board! He looks forward to cruising concrete waves with friends and family at Lossie Skatepark!

With thanks to...
Every step of our journey has been blessed with the support of Lossiemouth Community Development Trust, Lossiemouth Sports Hub, local Councillors, community and youth workers, and of course, the Lossiemouth community. Our committee appreciates all words of kindness and support, which is the driving force behind our committment to creating a skatepark for Lossiemouth.
